The badge is missing the Queen Victoria crown at the top. Only has one original lug left. Good for a gap-filler.

The 96th Regiment of Foot, British Army regiment, raised in 1798. On 1 July 1881 the Childers Reforms came into effect and the regiment amalgamated with the 63rd (West Suffolk) Regiment of Foot to form the Manchester Regiment.
