Old voided centre, white metal helmet or forage cap badge for the South African Constabulary, South Africa. Badges were worn on the front of the helmet or forage cap.  

Worn from 1902 to 1908. 

The SAC existed from 22 October 1901 to 2 June 1908 and policed the Transvaal (old ZAR) and Orange River Colony (old Orange Free State). Lord Baden-Powell (founder of the Boys Scouts) was tasked with establishing and commanding the South African Constabulary.

Used, but good condition with both lugs intact.
