The United Nations was established on 26 June 1945 after World War Two (WWII).
The UN emblem was adopted in December 1946.
The wreaths of olive branches are a symbol for peace, and the world map represents the people and countries of the world.
Personnel serving on UN missions wear their national uniform with the distinctive blue beret (or helmet, armband or shoulder patch) to distinguish them as a UN peacekeeper.

Used, but good condition with brooch clip intact.
